Breast Augmentation Price: Is A Boob Job Affordable For Me?

Saturday, April 4th, 2009

Thousands of women who are not naturally well endowed and feel shy about their physical inadequacy can take heart from the fact that breast augmentation price is on a downswing and any middle class woman can now afford a breast augmentation surgery, without having to pay up through the nose. Breast augmentation price can depend on a number of factors such as the cosmetic surgeon’s skill and experience, his reputation, the geographical location of the site of operation, the kind of implants being used, other associated charges and the doctor’s fees.

In 2005 breast augmentation price as indicated by the national average fees charged by cosmetic surgeons was $3406, as put down by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. In case of saline implants which are cheaper, breast augmentation price is pegged at an average of $3583 and breast augmentation price for silicone implants, which is the most expensive is $4005, as listed by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

However, let me warn you beforehand that these figures are indicative and may not accurately represent the actual comprehensive breast augmentation price or cost. You must contact a local breast surgery clinic to find out the accurate all inclusive net breast augmentation prices. If you are going in for breast augmentation for aesthetic purposes only so that you may flaunt a beautiful curvaceous figure on the beach, then be sure to know that your breast augmentation price (an elective cosmetic process) will not be covered under normal circumstances by insurance companies.

However an exception will be made if you have suffered from some accident related injury or breast cancer which has completely damaged your breast/breasts and when there is no other way but to opt for a breast reconstruction which will involve breast augmentation as well. This happens in case of severe breast trauma or after mastectomy. In such cases insurance companies will usually pay up.

However, in case of elective breast augmentation, if there arises any complication later on or if you require some kind of treatment related to breast augmentation, those extra costs and breast augmentation price wont be covered by many of these insurance companies. Therefore, if you are indeed contemplating breast augmentation, it is better to sound up your insurance company and take a look through their policies and terms and conditions regarding the coverage of breast augmentation price.

When opting for breast augmentation, you will do better by relying on the doctor’s skills and credentials and experience/renown rather than making price your deciding factor. If you perform breast augmentation in the west coast of America and in the top cities scattered across the country, breast augmentation price can reach up to $10000, especially in the Californian coast. In contrast, the south eastern states will set you back by only $3500 or $4000, as far as breast augmentation price is concerned.

What is a medical holiday?

Saturday, April 4th, 2009

In today’s world, healthcare is becoming more and more expensive as the number of diseases is increasing and newer strains of viruses and microbes are regenerating everywhere. So, the necessity of low priced but high ended treatment has increased leading to a huge demand for medical care in the countries India, Malaysia, Thailand etc. The reason being that health care is much cheaper here than in the US and with the current deflation going on, prices of medical facility have shot up like never before.

Now what in the world is medical holiday? And how can any holiday be medical? Well, medical holiday is essentially the act of going abroad or to some place, other than your native, for treatment of your health condition. This is a viable option because treatment cost is obviously lower in the place you are going to and you will have a gala time there after you finish off with treatment.

See, a holiday entails roaming around and enjoying sight scenes of a particular place. On the other hand, medical means that related to medicine and treatment. When you combine these two it become something like a break that you have taken for treating yourself but also a break where after treatment you are going to have a holiday. It is just two in one.

But can you go for a medical holiday, you are ill? That is no problem at all, anybody who is healthy enough to undertake the journey can go for the holiday. There are no mandatory that you cannot go. But I guess, for those who have serious health problems internally, they get a medical insurance for themselves for the journey. His will be safe as then any mishap on the journey will be taken care of by them. However, if you choose something like Healthbase then they will manage everything from your journey to your stay.

Now, what are the programmes that you can select the medical holiday for? Well, there is the elective surgery that you can go, for a start. This means that you maybe going for a facial treatment through cosmetic surgery or any well ness programme that no insurance company will cover. Then there is the one where there are the underinsured people who are highly unlucky. They have some pre medical conditions which make it difficult for them to get the proper amount of insurance.

The insurance companies automatically raise the insurance costs drastically while giving coverage that is barely enough. Even these people can go for a medical holiday. Also, people who are completely uninsured can go for their treatment. Sometimes this also happens that due to being underage or retired you don’t get the service of Medicaid or Medicare. As such you are denied treatment under Social Security too. In such cases medical holiday is the best option that you have.
