Celebrities Openly Support Cosmetic Surgery
Since the most common things you hear regarding celebrities and cosmetic surgery are stories of procedures that have gone wrong, such as Michael Jackson and Tara Reid or obvious denials, such as those proclaimed by stars like Lindsey Lohan, its very rare to hear celebrities coming out to support cosmetic surgery publicly – or at least that was the case until not so long ago. Over the last year, numerous celebrities have been more outspoken out about their surgeries and procedures and admitted that they actually support the industry, which many people know is responsible for the looks of many of our favourite stars.
Some of the stars who endorse cosmetic surgery are James Bond front man Daniel Craig and former world’s sexiest man George Clooney. Both have had work done, with Craig having work to repair an on-set injury and Clooney undergoing eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty. Both men have credited the cosmetic surgeons with their appearance and seem to understand the voids that cosmetic surgery fills in many peoples lives.
Many young actresses deny cosmetic procedures or say that they will never undergo cosmetic enhancement, however singer Hilary Duff has come out and admitted that she understands the need for such procedures and agrees it is likely that she will have work done in the future if she feels she needs to do so. She feels that some procedures are necessary to retain a youthful look, but she does confess that some celebrities go overboard with procedures
Towards the opposite end of the age spectrum are women like Vanessa Williams and Sharon Osbourne, both of whom admit to cosmetic procedures. Williams has undergone Botox injections and Osbourne has had multiple procedures all over he body. Both women feel that cosmetic surgery has greatly improved their looks and are confident about their willingness to undergo, if necessary, future procedures. Williams admits that Botox is a great surgery free procedure that leaves her looking beautiful and Osbourne has ceased having procedures, but states that she will have them again in a second if she begins to ’sag’ again.
While many starlets and actors undergo cosmetic procedures, many seem to work as hard as possible to hide the fact, it’s refreshing to read about celebrities who are open and honest about cosmetic procedures. Cosmetic surgery is nothing to be ashamed of, and most people already know the age of the celebrity. In a time when reality television seems to be dominating the airwaves, it’s nice to see that some singers, actors and actresses don’t mind getting real about their cosmetic surgery procedures.
